About

Travis Foster is a dedicated music educator, performer, and multi-instrumentalist with over two decades of experience in live performance, music instruction, and program leadership. He currently serves as Music Director at School of Rock Austin, where he oversees all educational programming and leads elite student ensembles that perform at major festivals including Austin City Limits and Summerfest. Travis also spearheaded the school’s adult beginner’s performance program and integrated music production and technology into student curricula. 

A graduate of Berklee College of Music with a focus on arranging, percussion, songwriting, and guitar, Travis has performed with acts such as the Ian Moore Band and the Blue Man Group. His touring experience spans the United States, and his freelance work includes private instruction, music arrangement, and songwriting coaching for a range of clients. 

Travis is especially passionate about the role of music in enhancing well-being and quality of life, exploring its impact in areas such as behavioral health, aging, grief, and disability. With a student-centered approach, he is committed to fostering creativity, empathy, and leadership through music.
