This project adapts and tests the Self-Compassion, Health, and Empowerment (SHE) intervention to better support Native American women experiencing intimate partner violence (IPV). Using community-engaged approaches, the study integrates safety planning and mental health support through a flexible mobile-health format. Led by Yang Li (PhD, RN) with co-investigators Presley Rodriguez (MPH, CHW), John Lowe (PhD, RN), and Hyekyun Rhee (PhD, RN), the project aims to improve access to IPV and mental health support while ensuring the intervention reflects Native values and experiences.
