Children and Families

Researching the structural and systemic factors that impact children’s well-being and family resilience.

At the Moritz Center, we are committed to advancing research that supports the well-being, growth, and resilience of children and families. This work explores the many interrelated factors that shape family life, including education, healthcare, economic stability, housing, and access to essential services.

Children and families are influenced by a wide range of social, environmental, and policy factors—such as early childhood education, family leave policies, access to mental and physical healthcare, and the availability of neighborhood resources.

Our research takes an interdisciplinary approach to understanding how these systems and services interact to impact family well-being. By examining these connections, we aim to develop evidence-based strategies that strengthen families, support healthy child development, and improve access to resources and opportunities. Through this work, the Moritz Center seeks to inform programs and policies that help create strong, stable environments where all families can thrive.
