Projects for Societal Impact

The Moritz Center provides grants through its Projects for Societal Impact (PSIs) Program, to help pilot or test promising research related to its focus areas of housing, behavioral health, children and family health, aging, and support for individuals with disabilities.

The 2026 PSI Application is Open

The Center is interested in research that addresses ethics, digital health applications, and global health and technology. The PSI Program strives to fund the intersection of at least two of these domains with collaboration among community partners.

These grants are intended to seed new and/or smaller projects for continuation into larger research studies. Funding may support UT students with tuition and living expenses, faculty for their research efforts, and community partners when needed. Academic credit up to six hours may be awarded to students.

Each of the five selected projects reflects a deep commitment to community well-being, interdisciplinary collaboration, and real-world impact. From enhancing mental health outcomes to strengthening rural health systems, these initiatives embody the Center’s mission to drive research that improves lives and communities.
